What challenge to people in Failsworth being physically active do you think most needs to be addressed?

On 2nd December, we're inviting residents, community groups, Council service staff and anyone from across Failsworth to attend an online 'Ideas Factory'. The aim is to come up with some ideas for how we help people to be more physically active in Failsworth around a few key challenges or priorities.

We need you to do three things:

1) Suggest the challenge that you think needs addressing [under the 'Ideas' column]
2) Submit ways that these challenges could be addressed in Failsworth [As 'Pros and Cons']
3) Vote on the Ideas you think are the biggest priorities [in 'Votes']

We'll be picking out the top Challenges and responses at the Ideas Factory on Weds 2nd December, 6-8pm, including allocating money to help make them happen. To attend and contribute or get backing for your idea, go to www.actiontogether.org.uk/event

The parks in Failsworth are quite small & not suitable for park runs. There's lots of green space on the Rochdale Canal, Moston Brook and Daisy Nook. It would be good to reccie possible off road routes, look at issues & how they can be overcome & then look at how best to encourage and promote them. Would some "walk to run" sessions work for beginners? Perhaps an idea for lighter nights/better weather? Ann, Moston Brook
