A setting I value is 'Shuffle Within questions', which randomly shuffles parts of questions each time a student attempts the quiz. This feature is good because it reduces the possibility of simply remembering the order of the correct answers during reattempts.

I like the peer marking at Moodle quite creative and useful. Especially when we teach a small sized master's class, this can encourage mutual learning and also students' analytical capability

I like that the quiz is quite quick to take in but includes discursvie elements - the information does not have to be basic just because it is quick to digest

The grading method is useful, in that it can be used in different ways for different purposes. E.g. the 'last attempt' or 'average score' across attempts can be used for student self-learning, whereas the 'first attempt' could be used for a formative assessment.

'First attempt' is good for benchmarking knowledge - makes students think hard.

I quite like the way you can attach specific feedback to wrong answers (e.g. 'You might expect this to be the case but actually...') as I think it helps take sting out of wrong answers and helps the students realize that just because the answer was wrong doesn't mean it wasn't a reasonable one to... more

I like the idea that one can set grading methods. Grading based on the average and not the highest one can motivate students to take the first quiz serious as well

I agree with this strategy, as it is important to critically assess all options

Kwame

Unfortunately, I did not finish the entire quiz. I did the first three and clicked on next, hoping that would take me to the remaining quizzes but was not the case.
