Like any other holiday or celebration in Denmark, New Year's Eve involves a lot of good food, alcohol and having a great time with family and friends. I didnt know Santa was from Turkey. For us new years eve means a big party. Firstly we have dinner with our families, at 12 o'clock we have 12 grapes. And then we all meet at the beach, both friends and other people, we don't even know.

In Denmark we actually don't have any special traditions than gather around the table and eat a good meal. Instead of being with our families like when we are younger, we prefer to go to another friends house and celebrate our New Year's Eve there. The only real tradition is that we have fireworks.

It is a fun way of recommending kids to bd nice and respectful. Since there are many illustrations of santa claus in movies, cartoons, books and so on, i think that santa claus is a global value, rather than regional.

It's actually interesting how remote this Holiday seems to be from Turkey just because of difference in religion. Yet the main idea is mostly being together and sharing moments together and we all do it in a similar way, actually.
