If we meal plan, we make healthier choices. By adding more vegetables, legumes and whole grains which are typical ingredients of the Mediterranean diet we can enhance our health

Dear Stamatis I agree because if we are organized we make better choices in general!
If families plan their meals in advance it insures that all the food groups are included (fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, proteins etc). This improves overall nutrition and of course our overall health.
If we plan our meals based on local, seasonal ingredients, we support local farmers and reduce the environmental impact of imported food. This is a rulle for the whole planet.
When people plan, they can stick to their shopping list and avoid unnecessary purchases. This helps families eat well without spending too much and of course have a diet that does not harm the environment not only in the Mediterranean region but everywhere.
Many people don’t eat properly because they don’t have time. Meal planning helps organize meals ahead of time, so it is less likely to skip meals. This is very good for the health

Meal planning can help families make healthier choices and stick to the traditional Mediterranean diet, which is good for heart health and overall well-being.

This is the same for all kind of healthy diets for the humans and the planet
Meal planning helps educate people about balanced nutrition and portion sizes. If more people in the Mediterranean region follow this habit, it could lead to a healthier population with fewer diet-related diseases.
Obesity is rising in the Mediterranean countries, so meal planning can help people control portions and avoid overeating unhealthy snacks. Its a great way to manage overeating.
Meal planning encourages families to cook more at home and follow traditional recipes instead of preferring fast food. This protects also the Mediterranean food culture.
