at first it used to just skip the ad really fast, but now it only mutes the ad but I still have to wait 30 seconds for every ad that plays? sometimes I wait up to 1 min 30 sec of silence before my songs play again

Check if you have other ad blockers running. AdGuard can cause this issue - if you use it along with Blockify.

Disable all other ad blockers and use only Blockify.

Also, as a general rule, keep Browser and Blockify updated as well.

Older browsers may not have the required APIs.
